No.1 Soundtrack Hits Of The '80s (Music Box)

Banyak film-film yang sukses dipasaran, diikuti dengan soundtrack yang juga mencapai puncak tangga lagu dunia. Salah satu album yang merangkum lagu soundtrack terbaik pada tahun 80an adalah album yang berjudul "No.1 Soundtrack Hits Of The '80s" yang diproduksi oleh Music Box ini. Album yang berdurasi 90 menit ini menyajikan 20 lagu, dan saya harus berterus terang bahwa lagu-lagu soundstrack pada kaset ini sungguh luar biasa.

Album ini banyak dihuni oleh lagu yang dibawakan oleh penyanyi papan atas manca negara seperti Madonna, Lionel Richie, Chicago, Phil Collins. Pada cover kasetnya dipajang foto dari film yang sangat populer 'Cobra' disamping itu pada daftar lagunya ditampilkan nama filmnya dan dicantumkan pula tahun beredarnya film tersebut dalam kurun waktu 1981 - 1986, karena kaset ini sendiri dirilis tahun 1986.

Semua lagu dikaset ini sudah tidak asing lagi bagi penggemar musik pop barat termasuk saya, namun saya juga baru mengetahui beberapa lagu ternyata adalah lagu dari soundtrack film, maklum saya belum menonton filmnya, kecuali film Cobra, Ghostbusters, Miami Vice, Rocky III, Flashdance, A View To A Kill dan The Karate Kid II.

Lagu-lagu dalam kaset ini kebanyakan berjenis musiknya pop, slow, dan rock. lagu "Voice Of American's Sons - John Cafferty, Ghostbusters - Ray Parker Jr, Eye Of The Tiger - Survivor, Footloose - Kenny Loggins, Iron Eagle (Never Say Die) - King Cobra" adalah lagu rock yang keren dalam kaset ini.
