Album kaset yang berjudul "New On Chart 6" yang diproduksi oleh Atlantic Records ini merupakan lagu-lagu terbaru yang masuk dalam tangga lagu American Top 40 pada tahun 1987. Beberapa musisi yang sebelumnya telah menelurkan lagu hits hadir dengan lagu andalan terbaru mereka, seperti Slade, Reo Speedwagon, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Kenny Loggins, Sheilla E, Nick Kamen.

Album yang dahulu dibandrol seharga Rp. 2 750 ini mempunyai durasi 90 menit dengan menyajikan 21 lagu pilihan. Lagu-lagunya didominasi dengan lagu yang berjenis musik pop slow dan slow rock, musisi yang membawakannya juga kebanyakan pernah di kenal di tanah air, walaupun ada beberapa penyanyi baru saya kenal.
