Best Of Punk Dance (Atlantic Records)

Punk Dance? Apakah anda mengetahui apakah musik Punk Dance itu? setelah Punk Rock lalu kini Punk Dance, sebagai penikmat musik-musik asyik saya beranggapan sederhana saja, Punk Dance itu lagu-lagu punk yang ngedance hehehe.., Namun setelah mendengar semua lagu pada kaset ini, saya menganggap pada dasarnya lagu-lagunya sama saja, ya itu-itu juga. Kaset "Best Of Punk Dance" diproduksi oleh Atlantic Record pada tahun 1982.

Kaset ini berisi 15 buah lagu punk, dan ternyata didalamnya terdapat grup band beken tahun 80an yang telah banyak mencetak lagu-lagu hits seperti: The Police, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Simple Mind, The Cars dan lain-lain.

Beberapa lagu pernah populer dan menjadi lagu kegemaran kawula muda di Indonesia pada saat itu diantaranya adalah: lagu "De do do do de da da da " (The Police). "Mickey" (Tony Basil), New Religion (Duran Duran), "Don't You Want Me" (The Human League).

Namun sebagai lagu pembuka diserahkan kepada grup band Split Enz dengan lagunya yang berjudul "Dirty Creature". Grup band ini berasal dari negara New Zealand dan biasa membawakan musik yang bergenre New wave, art rock, progressive rock dan pop rock. Vocalis mereka sudah banyak dikenal di Indonesia sewaktu bersolo karir yaitu Tim Finn.
