BASF Top 10 - 4 (Perina)

Kaset seri BASF Top 10 produksi Perina ini tentunya sudah kita kenal, format cover yang sama disetiap serinya serta lagu-lagunya yang menawan menjadikan kaset ini banyak yang dijadikan kaset favorit para penggemarnya. Dan seperti biasa, maka pada seri ke 4 yang dirilis pada tahun 1983 ini menampilkan pula lagu-lagu hits dunia pada masa itu.

Kaset ini hanya diisi dengan 13 buah lagu, namun hampir semua lagunya sudah sangat akrab ditelinga saya dan mungkin juga pada teman-teman jadullers semua, begitu juga dengan para penyanyinya, mereka sudah tidak asing lagi. Berbagai macam jenis musik bercampur-baur dalam kaset ini seperti pop, rock, slow, jazz, disco dan  reggea.

Lionel Richie didaulat menjadi pembuka pada album ini dengan sebuah lagunya yang berirama disco dan pernah menduduki No 1 pada Billboard Chart yaitu "All Night Long", lagu selanjutnya adalah dari grup musik yang pernah didiami oleh Lionel Richie juga yaitu Commodores, mereka membawakan lagu yang sangat manis berjudul "Only You"

Kemudian dibawahnya ada lagu yang tak kalah bagus yang dibawakan oleh grup asal Inggris Culture Club yaitu "Karma Chameleon", lagu ini pernah menduduki no.1 selama 3 minggu berturut-turut pada Billboard HOT100, dan disusul dengan lagu "This Independence" dari The Manhattan Transfer.

Wah, itu baru di side A, padahal banyak lagu-lagu hebat pada side B, salah satunya saja yang pernah menjadi lagu favorit saya yaitu lagu "She Blinded With Science" yang dibawakan oleh musisi asal Inggris Thomas Dolby. Selanjutnya lihat saja tracklist nya, pasti kita sepakat bahwa lagu-lagu lainnya luar biasa.
